Get to Know City and Country

In 1914, City and Country School founder Caroline Pratt unbolted desks from rows and reimagined education. Her radical idea—that children learn best through hands-on engagement with meaningful content—sparked a progressive movement that still guides us today. A century later, research in neuroscience and education affirms what she knew all along: practical, creative, and collaborative learning leads to the deepest understanding.

Today, City and Country is a place where curiousity is celebrated, diversity is embraced, childhood is protected, and learning is joyful. Our teachers are masterful, reflective, and deeply committed. Our students are enthusiastic, confident, and thriving.  The outcomes?  Exemplary.

Come see for yourself. You'll feel it when you get here.
