Community Life, Equity, and Inclusion Event and Reception
All applicant families are invited to attend this event to get a feel for C&C's culture and community, particularly in terms of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Leaders of our various social justice and affinity groups will present updates and goals across the community, and our teachers will describe what social justice and anti-racism work looks like in the classroom.
One of our most popular and informative events, Meet the Grads provides families an opportunity to hear C&C alums who are now high school seniors reflect on their time at C&C and how it shared their high school experiences and preparation for college. Click here to view the 2024 recording.
Meet a broad range of members of the C&C community to share personal stories and experiences from their time at our century-old institution in the West Village. Our panelists include some that may not be typical in the admissions process - like our security guard or school nurse - and play a huge role in the life of the school. Join us for our annual behind-the-scenes look at NYC’s leader in progressive education since 1914.
You’ll begin with a brief welcome and classroom visit followed by young alums guiding you as you engage in a number of hands-on activities from Math+Service Learning to Greco-Roman Art to Electricial Engineering for 7-Year-Olds. You’ll end at a reception with current parents. If your child is applying for 6th grade or older, they’re welcome to tag along as you experience what distinguishes our school.
