Hats Off to the Class of 2025: HS Acceptances
Another year, another successful admissions season for C&C’s rising high schoolers. The 20-member class has been offered admission to 45 different independent, public, and boarding schools.
At City and Country, success takes many forms. Some students are heading to progressive high schools, others to more traditional settings or specialized programs. Whatever the choice, it’s theirs—made with intention, self-awareness, and confidence. What’s certain is that our eighth graders (XIIIs) are ready for what’s next. This moment is worth celebrating, but so is the journey that got each of them here. It starts in sixth grade (XIs), with time in Academic Performance Lab (APL) to hone executive functioning skills, reflect on themselves as learners, and explore interests. In seventh grade (XIIs), families join our high school placement counselor, division director, and learning specialists for Coffee and Conversation. One-on-one meetings follow, helping shape a personalized list of school options. By the spring of seventh grade (XIIs), students master their test-taking skills, begin drafting applications, and sharpen their interview skills—though let’s be honest, most need little coaching. They present themselves with clarity and confidence. Families research schools, students reflect on what matters most, and by the start of the eighth-grade year (XIIIs), final choices come into focus. With the steady support of our dedicated team—through personalized guidance, teacher support, and APL—students write essays, conduct research, and prepare for tests. They submit applications, meet deadlines, and see their hard work pay off. A K-12 admission director put it best: “I can spot a C&C student from across the room. They’re smart and know how to take on a problem.” We couldn’t agree more. The 20 members of the Class of 2025 have been offered places at the following schools:
